Rescue and Relocation

The Lagotto Romagnolo Club of America Rescue is currently being established as a non-profit 501 3 (c) charitable organization staffed by volunteers who rescue, evaluate, rehabilitate, and place Lagottos in a forever home that is best suited for both the family and the Lagotto. We are dedicated to the care and well-being of our Lagotto breed. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. We strive to inform others about the realities of pet ownership, promote neutering/ spaying, see to their veterinary needs, training/evaluation and encourage responsible care. It is our hope that our efforts will enhance the lives of Lagotto's as well as their adopted family.

Because the Lagotto is a relatively uncommon breed in the US and our breeders are conscientious about placing their puppies and adult dogs in appropriate forever homes, we have very few, if any, rescues come into our program every year.

If you are interested in being considered as a home for a rescue dog, please continue to check back for available dogs. At this time we are not accepting applications for rescue placements.

If you own a Lagotto and would like information about relinquishing it to the rescue and re-homing program please contact Theresa Nehemiah
